Normativa sul Restauro con Laser e Certificazioni per Restauratori di Sistemi Laser
Attualmente, la normativa sull’uso dei sistemi laser fa riferimento alla Direttiva 2006/25/CE del Parlamento Europeo, recepita in Italia tramite il Decreto Legislativo 81/08 sulla “Tutela della salute e della sicurezza nei luoghi di lavoro”, in particolare ai capitoli I e V del titolo VIII.
I sistemi laser impiegati nel restauro sono classificati come di Classe 4, poiché possono rappresentare un pericolo potenziale per gli occhi e la pelle sia attraverso radiazioni dirette che diffuse, con un rischio di incendio. Il personale che utilizza tali apparecchiature deve seguire un corso di formazione per ottenere la certificazione di idoneità riguardante i rischi specifici derivanti dall’uso dei laser.

Restauri Materiali e Pulitura con Laser
La pulitura laser comporta il bombardamento della superficie da trattare con radiazioni luminose ad alta energia, causando una temperatura molto elevata che porta alla vaporizzazione della sostanza da rimuovere.
Prima di procedere con il restauro mediante sistemi laser, è necessario condurre una campagna diagnostica sulle superfici da restaurare, seguita da una valutazione attenta della tipologia di laser più adatta alla conservazione dei beni culturali.
